ALWAYS CONNECTED: INJAZ AL-ARAB CEO’S RETREAT
As INJAZ Al-Arab is always working closely with the member nations’ leadership and local teams, in March 2021, the ROC organized a two-day virtual retreat for all member nations’ CEOs in which opportunities as well as challenges were discussed and evaluated as the network moves forward in its plan to reach more students across MENA and explore digital offerings and online programs.
In addition, the CEOs met with a special guest speaker, Fadi Ghandour, who shared his insights and experiences on change and the new normal.

EMPOWERING TUNISIAN YOUTH WITH QFFD
In partnership with Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and INJAZ Al-Arab, INJAZ Tunisia successfully launched the Economic Empowerment of Tunisian Youth initiative (EETY). In alignment with QFFD’s mission to promote economic progress around the world with a focus on inclusive and sustainable development, the initiative aims to Empower 2,500 Tunisian youth through the implementation of INJAZ programs including the Company Program, Innovation Day Camps and the ‘Steer Your Career’ Program.

GOOGLE ARABIA & INJAZ AL-ARAB HOST PANEL ON INTERNET SAFETY
In celebration of Safer Internet Day, Google and INJAZ Al-Arab hosted a virtual panel discussion to help MENA youth learn more about internet safety and digital citizenship. The Online Safety Habits & Online Learning discussion included representatives from Ministries of Education in Egypt, Morocco, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, and an overview from the UAE. The panel discussion included a display of the work mechanism of the INJAZ program in light of the coronavirus pandemic and the importance of extracurricular programs for Arab youth in the region. This was followed by a joint panel discussion between representatives from Google and INJAZ Al Arab.
The partnership between Google and INJAZ aims to train over 26,000 students across the Middle East and North Africa on Google’s Internet Awesome, which helps provide youth between the ages of 7 and 13 information on the basics of digital citizenship, online safety, and privacy so that they can explore the online world with confidence.
