INJAZ Al-Arab CEO Akef Aqrabawi participated in a panel at STEP Conference titled: Universities and the Future of Work.
A rich discussion took place on how entrepreneurship is being integrated in the educational curriculums and how to encourage entrepreneurship and prepare students to be 100% ready to build their careers with the incredibly fast changing work environments. The panel hosted expertise form London Business School, American University of Beirut, Falcon and Associates and Mirai Partners. Step conference is the largest tech experiential festival in the Middle East founded by INJAZ Alumnus Ray Dargham.

Gov Youth Summit
Under the theme “Because (YOU)th Matters”, the premier edition of the GOV Youth Summit, an exclusive initiative targeting Arab Youth across the GCC, took place on March 2 and 3 in Dubai with INJAZ Al-Arab as an associate partner.
With a lineup of inspiring speakers, rich discussion panels and engaging activities, the summit brought together youth leaders, policy makers and business professionals for a community wide dialogue on the challenges faced by the youth in the GCC and on empowering them and strengthening their role in enhancing the human capital of the region.

INJAZ & OLIVER WYMAN STUDY ON YOUTH AND PRIVATE SECTOR
INJAZ Al-Arab and Oliver Wyman reveal their study on “MENA Youth Employment in the Private Sector” at Innovation Arabia 13
INJAZ Al-Arab, in partnership with Oliver Wyman took a look ahead into the future of the private sector by capturing the opinion of those who are most likely going to shape it – MENA youth. A survey was conducted across the region that gathers youth’s perception of the private sector, examines the skills gap, and captures their opinion on enablers of lifelong learning.
INJAZ and Oliver Wyman presented their findings at “Innovation Arabia 13 ” in a panel discussion on “Youth Employment in the Private Sector” that falls under the “Learning, Wellbeing, and Trust” track, given that a core part of the discussion revolved around skills for the future. The panel sparked dialogue about youth employment in the private sector regionally and ways it could drive regional transformation.
The panel hosted Jeff Youssef, Partner at Oliver Wyman, Razan Bashiti, CEO of INJAZ UAE, Rabih Haber, Head of HR, Europe, Middle East & Africa- MetLife, and Deema Al Alami, VP Arabic & Islamic, GEMS Education.
With the outstanding support of INJAZ Member Nations, more than 2,400 youths between the ages of 16 and 36 from 17 MENA countries took part in the survey. As part of the qualitative effort, a total of 6 Focus Group were carried out in Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Qatar, and UAE. With the help of member nations, INJAZ Al-Arab and Oliver Wyman were able to interview 35+ participants from the private sector.
