In December 2021, the annual INJAZ Youth Entrepreneurship Celebration was held as a virtual regional event for the second time. The 15th edition of the regional event. The celebration hosted 103 students from 13 member nations with different journey’s that expanded the training with private sector mentors and volunteers. The Skills Enhancement Sessions kicked off with different event sponsors, FedEx, Mastercard, Investcorp, Citi Foundation and Boeing. The sessions helped prepare students from across the region for today’s job market, focusing on different skills and business elements within the INJAZ Entrepreneurship Ecosystem.
The 2021 ‘Company of the Year’ high school prize was presented to Hasib from Bahrain and the university prize went to CleanPalco from Palestine. CleanPalco created eco-friendly materials for construction in Palestine, while cleaning up the environment. While Hasib is a group of young entrepreneurs on a mission to keep cyclists safe on the road with their tech device that alerts cyclists about incoming traffic. The ‘Product of the Year’ was awarded Stripes from Egypt for the High School Track, and T2G Company from Bahrain from Oman. ‘Best Social Impact’ was presented to Autism-Less World from Palestine for the High School Track and Minfeed from Lebanon for the University Track. The Citi Client Focus was awarded to team Stripes from Egypt for the High School Track and team Hassad from Bahrain for the University Track, Investcorp Value Creation was awarded to team Packtus from Tunisia for the University Track, Boeing Business Challenge was awarded to HiVenture from Lebanon for the High School Track, Mastercard Excellence in Technology was awarded to team Hasib from Bahrain for the High School Track and FedEx Global Possibilities went to Cortex Wellness from UAE for the High School Track.
