THE “BOEING BUSINESS CHALLENGE” ENGAGES INJAZ YOUTH IN THE SECOND VIRTUAL REGIONAL I-CAMP IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BOEING
INJAZ Al-Arab, in partnership with Boeing, engaged youth from 13 member nations in the “Boeing Business Challenge” virtual regional I-Camp on June 28th, 2020. Youth worked in teams to answer questions that could realize the innovative idea of “Drone Delivery” to homes and look at the business and implementation elements that need to be considered.
The event of the I-Camp started with a welcoming note from Ms. Roula Droubi, Regional Director, Government, Industry and Community Engagement- Middle East &North Africa at Boeing International, who was also part of the judging panel along with her Boeing International colleagues, Ms. Stephanie Abla and Ms. Nadine Fanous.
Student teams presented their ideas to the judging panel after a two-hour working session. Upon pitching, three finalists were shortlisted with the INJAZ Qatar team finally being named as the winner of the challenge and teams from INJAZ Algeria and INJAZ Egypt as runner ups.
The I-Camp witnessed high levels of energy and engagement from the participants and member nations staff and supported the ongoing initiatives under the #KeepLearning campaign.
“Participating in the Boeing Business Challenge has opened our sight not just to learn where the world is going, but also to participate in creating this future. We -in Lebanon- are experiencing an economic collapse and political challenges, but INJAZ provided us with an opportunity to zoom-out, and participate in such an amazing and professional experience, a tight schedule challenge that reminded us of the value we can provide.” Alaa Ghanem, INJAZ Lebanon student..
