Letter From the CEO
This year is a personal milestone for me: my 15th year of service to Arab youth through the INJAZ network. Throughout all that time, I’ve never been more hopeful for the future of INJAZ Al-Arab and our region than I am today. We’ve spent the past year at INJAZ Al-Arab making great strides forward as an organization to build up our capacity to advocate for and empower young people throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
The continuing success of our alumni and INJAZ Al-Arab proves that our model of volunteerism works. By collaborating with our partners in the private sector to provide volunteer mentorship, INJAZ programs not only teach important skills, but also inspire young people to pursue their dreams. I’m extremely proud of our efforts this year, and I’m looking forward to another year of growth.
One of our biggest focuses this year has been strengthening the INJAZ brand; better defining who we are, what we do and the values we stand for as an organization. By upholding these values throughout our operations, INJAZ can maintain its position as the largest NGO focused on youth economic empowerment in the region.
Our strong commitment to Youth Empowerment is maintained at the national level. INJAZ Al-Arab has been working closely this year with each of our member nations to build capacities and spread best practices throughout the region to engage even more youth.
The result of these efforts is an INJAZ network that is stronger than ever, reaching from our offices and the classrooms in which we operate across the public, private and NGO sectors. We’ve forged new partnerships and strengthened existing ones, and I’m confident in our ability to continue that growth. I’d like to thank each of our partners for the invaluable support they provide, responsible for driving youth empowerment across the Middle East. Our partners are our biggest strength; together, we are changing the world.
Sincerely,
Akef Aqrabawi
